Do we have to use the form, or can we simply ring?
Ring, by all means. The form exists because a good many people would rather not make a phone call to strangers about dancing, which is entirely fair. Either route reaches the same place, and neither is treated as more serious than the other.
We have no date, no venue and no song. Is it worth making contact yet?
Yes. Half the enquiries we take are at exactly that stage. Knowing roughly where you live and roughly which year you are aiming at is enough for a useful conversation about what this involves and what it costs.
We would rather not be telephoned. Is that awkward?
Not in the least. Choose the written option on the form, or say so in your e-mail, and everything is handled in writing from that point — including the prices, the coverage question and the booking itself if you get that far.
Is there an office or studio we can come to?
No, and that is deliberate. We keep no premises for couples to travel to; the teaching goes out to homes, wedding venues and rooms hired for the hour, which is why the same prices apply from Cornwall to Aberdeenshire.
Can a parent or a friend get in touch on the couple's behalf?
Often the case, especially when lessons are a present. Send what you know and we will talk it through with you first. At some point the couple themselves have to be told, because dates and addresses are hard to arrange in secret from both of them.
