First dance lessons, taught privately by your own choreographer — at your place, at your venue, or on a hired floor somewhere handy. No studio timetable, no group class, no assumed ability. Brighton, Hove, and a good way beyond.

A first dance that suits a black-tie ballroom would look odd in a field above the Downs — and the reverse is just as true. So everything starts from the wedding you're planning, not from a routine we already had.
Regency townhouses, seafront hotels, a barn up on the Downs, the room above a favourite pub — Brighton couples marry everywhere, and plenty rewrite the running order while they're at it. Two brides, two grooms, no aisle, no cake: all fine by us.
Your routine is choreographed from three facts: your song, your floor, and how the two of you naturally move. Your instructor builds it from scratch — nothing handed down from the last couple, nothing off a syllabus.
Lessons here are taught by instructors who cover the city and know its quirks: the flats without much floor, the venues up two flights of Regency stairs, the seafront wind that ruins hair but never routines.
Nadia is one of our great instructors, and Brighton couples are lucky to get her — patient with absolute beginners, honest about what will and won't work in your space, and entirely unbothered by two left feet or four. Like everyone who teaches for us, she choreographs each first dance herself, for the couple in front of her.
If your dates land with a different instructor, the way of working — and the price — stays exactly the same.
The same five packages we teach everywhere, at the same prices — per couple, always. No quote forms, no ‘from’ asterisks, no Brighton premium.
Every price is for both of you and covers the teaching wherever we meet — home, venue or hired floor. Add more lessons later if you find you want them; plenty of couples do.
The dance is the easy bit. Booking it takes two minutes.

Hanover terraces, Kemptown flats three floors up, semis out in Portslade — if a coffee table can be pushed aside, there is room to start. Nobody watching, your own kettle, no parking to find.
Where your venue can give us access, rehearsing on the actual floor — under the actual ceiling you'll be nervous under — is the most useful lesson of the lot. Couples often save it for last.
When home is snug or the routine is classified, we book a proper floor in your part of the city and meet you there. Which room depends on where you are; it's arranged when you book.
Central Brighton, Hove, Kemptown, Hanover, Preston Park, Portslade, Rottingdean and Saltdean — and out to Lewes, Shoreham-by-Sea, Worthing, Newhaven, Burgess Hill and Haywards Heath. Near the list but not on it? Ask; the answer is usually yes.
A decent number of couples ring us insisting their first dance will be thirty seconds of swaying, maximum. Fine. Thirty seconds of swaying with a shape to it — a confident start, one move you both trust, an agreed ending — reads as charm rather than reluctance. That's a small, teachable thing.
The other camp wants the room silenced. Also fine. A first dance only needs to last as long as the best part of your song — around ninety seconds usually, before guests are waved in. Your wedding choreographer will tell you honestly which cut of the track can carry it.

All of Brighton and Hove — the centre, Kemptown, Hanover, Preston Park, Portslade, Rottingdean, Saltdean — plus Lewes, Shoreham-by-Sea, Worthing, Newhaven, Burgess Hill and Haywards Heath. Further afield is often possible with a little notice; the enquiry form is the quickest way to find out.
Almost certainly. A cleared space about the size of a double bed is enough for the early lessons. If the routine outgrows your front room, we move a session or two to a hired floor nearby and the price stays exactly as it was.
Wherever the venue will let us in, yes — and it's worth pushing for. One run on the real floor, in the real acoustics, settles nerves faster than anything else we do. Many couples book it as the final lesson before the day.
Only the pronouns. Brighton being Brighton, a good share of the couples we teach are same-sex; the teaching, the packages and the prices are identical. Who leads is yours to decide — including neither of you, which choreographs beautifully.
Inside the final fortnight, yes — that's what the £150 Last Minute session is for. It buys a confident entrance, a middle you can repeat without thinking, and an ending. It will not buy a showstopper, and we won't sell it as one.
An instructor who covers Brighton — Nadia is one of ours. Whoever you're matched with choreographs your routine themselves, from your song, for the two of you. Nothing is taught from a house routine, because there isn't one.
A hall or studio floor in your part of the city, booked for your lesson and only your lesson. Which building depends on where you are and what's free — we confirm it with you when the session is booked, and you just turn up.
Still scrolling? That's just cold feet — and cold feet are our whole job.
